This has tremendous potential BUT I have serious doubts it will ever be completed. The author claims the series is already written but it has taken years for just three short books to be published. The author (aka Roxie Rivera or Lola Rivera) has sooooo many books that are promised but not delivered. She's made numerous statements of "already written" or it will be published in "upcoming weeks" or "available for preorder" or just plain ignored delivery dates. She's completely unreliable.
She claimed a serious health problem but after so many false promises with respect to her books, I admit to being skeptical about anything she says. I just don't believe in her or her statements. I'm angry that I spent money on a series that she hasn't provided like she said she would.
Her books are great. Just don't count on any more books being published. I wouldn't read this series because I honestly don't think the series will be completed in the next few YEARS (if ever!!).

Emma Part One Outpost Nine Book 1 edition by Lolita Lopez Romance eBooks Reviews
This is probably a good story, but I stopped reading it about half way through. I wouldn't have bought this if I had known there were elements of MM sex. I'm not judging, but that's really just not my thing. And I didn't appreciate the author's inference that people who don't prefer that type of thing are religious zealots who don't believe in science, etc... I am very careful to avoid imposing my beliefs (or sexual preferences) on others and I'd appreciate the same courtesy.
The points being made didn't further the storyline any, so it just felt like the author was taking a dig at something in our current society that was bothering her. I ignored the first statement, but after reading the second one, I was done.
I'm a big Lolita Lopez fan! I love her Grabbed books and sincerely hope she gets her rights back eventually and will continue that series. Now for this book... Excellent world building with wonderful, likable characters. I am not a fan of serials, but it sounds like she won't keep us waiting too long between installments, so I'm willing to buy this format. If I were LL's editor, I'd point out that Emma seems to make a rather abrupt transition from disarming Max and Jack and holding them at gunpoint to oh well, you guys seem okay, go get your weapons. Then soon after she leaves her own weapons at the bottom of the ladder when the cyborgs tell her to. If they had been bad guys that would have been disastrous for her. She's a smart woman, so it seems out of character. I feel there should have been an extra step in there; something that proves they are trustworthy. But other than that quibble, I found this installment quite enjoyable and I'm really looking forward to the next one.
The book is about a woman who rescues 2 cyborgs from a hoard of walking zombies on her land. Once rescued, Emma Ramirez starts to think of the future beyond her small farm and solitary existence.
This book was enjoyable with likeable characters, tons of action, great chemistry and hot sex. What I don't like and agree with is the brevity of this book. Apparently, this is one out of many books in the story, almost like an episode in a miniseries. I guess you get what you pay for. Overall, the book was enjoyable. It would have been 5 stars had the book came equipped with a few more chapters at least.
This author is a superb writer! The story line is interesting and tight, world building and character development is really good. This not your run of the mill post-apoc zombie book (I happen to love post-apoc and am ok with zombie)! This book was an awesome read. It has everything, a great well plotted, believable story that moves smoothly, lots of twists and turns , three dimensional characters, not to mention great sex. While I am not a fan of serials, I am willing to make an exception with this author because Ms. Lopez can write!!! I have already bought and read the other 2 books and am anxious for much more. This author bears close watching because she has a great deal of talent and promise! You go Lo.
This is an apocalyptic story located in Texas. Emma has been a woman alone in a dangerous place for the last four years since her dad died. Her only contact is through the Chain (radio receivers) or the occasional trader, not to mention the frequent zombie attacks.
Enter the two military trained cyborgs running for their lives from said zombie attacks. Max and Make never expected help in the middle of nowhere let alone from a fully human, beautiful woman.
I love how independent and self sufficient Emma is. She makes the decisions in her life, not some pushy and arrogant cyborgs. There is a lot of chemistry between these three as they struggle to come to terms with their forced co-occupancy. You get a lot of background information on the state of the union, so to speak but it is given in such a way that it is far from boring. Can't wait to see the next installment. Great job...just wish it hadn't ended in such a cliffhanger manner.
I love LL for so many reasons- the least being is that she is such a superb writer. In this Age of Indie Writers we are bombarded with all sorts of writing styles and levels. When reading a LL novel one always gets good, solid writing the storyline is tight and interesting, and sentence structure is well done. In short, her books are an all-around pleasure to read. I am a rabid fan of her 'Grabbed' series, and I didn't think that I would find a substitute until it starts again (my heart goes out to Ms. L during this turbulent time with EC) but this new series will do just fine! Wow, was it an awesome read! It had everything- you name it, and it had it.This woman can spin a tale, and make it seems as if it was the richest, most decadent chocolate and caramel treat. This book melted in my mouth, and immediatly upon finishing I bought the second in the series. I can't wait for the next, and I hope that Emma's friends all get books as well.
I am not that into zombies, but this has some neat twists to it. You love Sc-fi, romance, zombies, adventure, and erotica? Then this book/writer is for you. Brava, Ms. Lopez!
This has tremendous potential BUT I have serious doubts it will ever be completed.
